Bass River State Forest Camping?

Anyone camped in/around Bass River State Forest lately?  I'm headed down there this weekend with some friends.  We're staying at a private campground called Pilgrim Lake, not too far from Lake Absegami.  It's fairly no frills and rustic (no swimming pools, basketball courts, or organized activities) but there are hot showers and flush toilets available.  Anyone been camping down there lately?  It's been a long time since I've been in the pines.

Hi Hank, How'd your camping trip go? I've been wanting to camp in south Jersey for a while. We've done a lot of camping in the highlands, but it would be nice to experience a different ecosystem for a change. I prefer a wilderness campsite rather than a campground, but I can't find any info on camping in the Pine Barrens. Any thoughts??
