Came across this article/post through online Snowshoe Magazine. (Yes, it's getting close to that time of the season again).
It recounts a young woman's journey on the AT this year as well as her hiking & life's philosophy as a result such as:
[QUOTE] "Give more than you take. See, and seek, more than you look. Consider the lilies, the daffodils. Consider your fellow man. Consider life, and be excited about it. Keep planting flowers regardless of life’s circumstances. Be aware of the impact of your footsteps, but keep planting one foot in front of the other." [END QUOTE]
Definitely words to remember when we run into difficulty on the trail or in Life. Standing still won't get you anywhere. Keep moving. Literally and figuratively.
Blessed Holidays To Everyone here at NJ Hiking Connect & A Healthy, Safe & Peaceful New Year.
