NJ Hiking: Connect

A Social Network for New Jersey Hiking Enthusiasts

Hi NJ Hiking Gang - Happy 2014. I am considering doing a winter overnight backpacking trip to shoot some photography at Sunfish Pond and tent at BP#2. Does anyone know the legality of parking at the Dunnfield Creek Trail head overnight. Any other suggestions for overnight parking (Old Mine Road or Camp Road near MOC or  Kittatinny Point Visitor Ctr (DWGNRA)?

Thanks in advance - Tom

Tom – yes, overnight parking is permitted in that location.

Michele – Is it legal to park overnight at Worthington’s Dunnfield Creek trailhead (the one on 80 West right before bridge into PA) if you are overnight hiking on the AT?

Thanks in advance for your attention to this.
