Thanks Linda for the welcome.

My wife and I are fairly new to hiking. We have been doing a lot of reading and preparation for our new found interest. Mainly, we've been doing day hikes in Stokes State working towards a 2 day expedition on the AT some day.

This website is very helpful and looking forward to interact with others here.

Thanks again for the welcome,

Oscar

Thanks for the welcome Linda.

Sunfish is nice, and I actually enjoyed Dunfield a bit more that the AT the last time I went up there. I guess I like the stream and the crossings.

I did the AT/Dunfield loop in Oct., then in Nov. did from Camp Mohican to Sunfish and did the Kaiser/Coppermine on the way back to complete the loop.

Hoping to do from Camp M to the North, or maybe Mt. Minsi for the next outing....... I think I'm gonna have to put that off for a month or so though. Heading down to Virginia in a couple weeks and might do some of SNP while there if weather permits, maybe meeting up with some folks in the Roanoke area as well to possibly do Mcafee Knob on a dayhike while down there. Who knows, maybe we'll meet up out on the trail someday soon. Safe hiking, have fun..... Dave
