I'm looking forward to exploring this site. But I have two questions:

1. How long has this site been up? (I was surprised to find it)

2. Why is there so much security to sign up? I'm not planning on doing any banking here.

Thanks for the welcome comment,,   Hope to see all you hikers out on the trail.  Its hard to find people in my circle of friends that really enjoy going out and enjoying nature. I like to scout .. i'm not a trekker.  I'm studying wild edibles and bushcraft

Thanks! Hadn't seen that posted about the white trail at Jakes Branch.  I'll try something unmarked when I go and see what happens.  I sure hope the snow up north melts soon because I am running out of places to go.

Thanks for the welcome. Just started getting back into hiking again. Did the carranza memorial to apple pie hill hike last weekend to get my legs back under me. Going to Mt Minsi in April and hoping to go shenandoah in June!
