I had no problems at Sharp Top at all because it was IN A CLOUD!  I could not see my hand in front of my face so I could not see any views or how high up I was.  I was standing out in that stone viewing area thing at the summit thinking that I probably would be white-knuckling (or probably not standing there at all) if I could see, LOL!

Thanks, Christine!  I am so very sorry about your Rocky.  I can't even imagine how difficult it must be.  I have had dogs all my life but then along comes that one that you have a very special connection with and sounds like you had that with Rocky.  I do with Shawnee and I so dread the day...

You are referring to Buttermilk Falls in the Delaware Water Gap, correct?  Seems like 75% of waterfalls are named "Buttermilk Falls" - not a whole lot of creativity when it comes to naming waterfalls!  That is a gorgeous area and I loved that hike but I don't know that I would want to do it again.  The steps going up along the falls are harrowing for somebody like me who is afraid of heights.  Or maybe it just seemed worse because I had to drag a 65 pound dog up that is afraid of heights, too, and triples her weight when she does not want to go up.  I honestly don't know how the two of us ever made it to the top and lived to tell about it.  I am just grateful there were no witnesses :)  But seriously, it is a gorgeous area and when you continue up the to the Appalachian Trail there are some nice views.
