While returning to Ringwood Manor via the Hasenclever Iron Ridge Trail, after a climb of Hasenclever Hill, I passed this trail marker. I think only in New Jersey could you find a blaze on a discarded tire!

Thanks for the laugh.  NJ does have its idiosyncrasies for sure.  Considering the amount of debris & trash along some NJ trails, I hope this kind of blazing doesn't catch on.  Although I must admit there have been more times than I'd like to remember that I could have used just about any kind of blazing along some poorly marked trails.

Classic Jersey! And we always joke that it's not a proper NJ hike until you pass a rusted car chassis abandoned along a trail  - there seems to be one along every route :)
